Rights, Resilience & Activism in the Workplace

Saturday, November 16 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM PST
Los Altos, CA

✨ Salaam Bay Area!! Join us for a transformative coffee chat and workshop featuring civil rights attorney and CAIR SFBA's Executive Director Zahra Billoo! ✨

In these challenging times, where the injustices faced by our communities—particularly in Palestine and Lebanon—can leave us feeling overwhelmed, it’s essential to reclaim our narrative and advocate for change. This event is tailored for Muslim women professionals looking to learn how to effectively combat Islamophobia, understand their rights, and implement strategies for meaningful impact in their workplaces and beyond.

Zahra Billoo is a civil rights attorney and the Executive Director of the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s oldest CAIR chapter. Leading efforts to serve the Bay Area's 250,000 Muslims, Zahra has significantly advanced the organization’s mission through impactful lawsuits against the U.S. Department of Justice, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Southwest Airlines, all aimed at combating discrimination and protecting the rights of Muslim Americans. With extensive experience in providing direct legal services for victims of law enforcement targeting and Islamophobia, Zahra is well-equipped to address the critical need for advocacy and resilience in the face of systemic challenges. She regularly facilitates training and workshops, empowering the community to understand their rights and take action.

🥤 Drinks and light refreshments will be provided and are included in your ticket.

👉 Register now and be part of this empowering journey!
