2015
Discovery
Sofia Haq discovered the problem of the lack of resources and networking opportuntities for Muslim Women Professionals.
Creation
2018
Muslim Women Professionals (MWP) was started in 2018 by Sofia Haq. In 2018, she left her full-time role to start MWP.
First Event
2019
Hosted first Muslim Women Professionals networking event in Southern California.
Virtual Space
2020
Started hosting virtual events to support MWPs through the pandemic; participated in the Grid110 Accelerator.
First Social
2021
MWP Hosted the first Coffee Chat in NYC.
Officialization
2022
MWP became an official non-profit organization.
First Conference
2023
MWP is a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is the fastest growing non-profit for Muslim Women in the world.
